3. Escrow Fees


  • Fee Structure: EscrowsHero.com applies a service fee to cover the cost of providing secure and reliable escrow services. These fees are outlined clearly during the transaction setup and are calculated based on the transaction value and the chosen payment method.

Escrow Fee=Minimum Fee+(Transaction Amount×Percent Commission (as a decimal))

Explanation of Terms:

  1. Minimum Fee: The base fee charged for the transaction, depending on the range in which the transaction amount falls.
  2. Transaction Amount: The total value of the transaction.
  3. Percent Commission: The percentage fee applied to the transaction amount, converted into decimal form (e.g., 1.00% = 0.01).

Steps to Calculate the Fee:

  1. Determine the Range: Check which range your Transaction Amount falls into using the provided table.
  2. Identify the Fees: For the applicable range, note the Minimum Fee and the Percent Commission.
  3. Apply the Formula: Plug the values into the formula to calculate the total escrow fee.

Example Calculations:

Example 1:

  • Transaction Amount: $3,000.00
  • Range: $1.00 - $5,000.00
  • Minimum Fee: $50.00
  • Percent Commission: 1.00% (or 0.01)
Escrow Fee=50+(3,000×0.01)
Escrow Fee=50+30=80 USD

Example 2:

  • Transaction Amount: $30,000.00
  • Range: $25,000.01 - $50,000.00
  • Minimum Fee: $375.00
  • Percent Commission: 0.80% (or 0.008)
Escrow Fee=375+(30,000×0.008)
Escrow Fee=375+240=615 USD

Example 3:

  • Transaction Amount: $600,000.00
  • Range: $500,000.01 - $1,000,000.00
  • Minimum Fee: $2,500.00
  • Percent Commission: 0.50% (or 0.005)
Escrow Fee=2,500+(600,000×0.005)
Escrow Fee=2,500+3,000=5,500 USD

  • Fee Responsibility: The responsibility for paying the escrow fee is defined during the transaction setup. By default, the fees may be equally split between the buyer and seller unless they agree otherwise. Transparency in fee allocation is a key part of our policy.

  • Additional charges may apply for optional services, such as expedited processing or additional transaction protection layers.


4. Refunds and Disbursements


  • Refunds: In cases where a transaction is canceled or the agreed terms are not fulfilled, funds held in escrow will be refunded to the buyer, minus any applicable fees. Refund processing times may vary based on the original payment method used.

  • Disbursements: Funds are released to the seller only after the buyer confirms satisfaction with the terms of the transaction. If no disputes are raised within the agreed inspection period, payments will be automatically released. EscrowsHero.com ensures that disbursements are processed swiftly and securely.

  • Buyers and sellers can request updates on the status of refunds or disbursements at any time via their account dashboard.


5. Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute, EscrowsHero.com provides a structured resolution process. Funds remain in escrow until a mutually acceptable resolution is reached.

  • Both parties may be required to submit supporting documentation or evidence to validate their claims. Our dispute resolution team reviews the submitted materials impartially.

  • If necessary, disputes may be escalated to arbitration as outlined in our Terms of Service, ensuring a fair and conclusive resolution.

  • The dispute resolution process timeline may vary depending on the complexity of the case and the responsiveness of the involved parties.
